John is the owner and your host. He is a native of the U.S.A., has lived more than 15 years in Mexico, and speaks English and Spanish.

John has traveled throughout Mexico and many countries in Latin America and will be happy to discuss travel ideas with you. He retired from the corporate business world and came to Guadalajara due to its Historic Center, Mexican culture, gay ambience, and moderate climate. He has living quarters in the hotel and will often be available to assist you.

Alebrijes is the theme and was inspired by John’s collection. Alebrijes are fanciful painted wood carved animals from Oaxaca, Mexico. You will receive a small alebrije turtle as a welcome gift, and you can purchase the alebrijes displayed in your room and in the reception area to take home with you.
